It appears that Microsoft's Internet Explorer 6.0 has another critical bug that may be used by cyber-criminals to capture keystrokes and steal confidential information. The bug is somehow connected with the cross-site scripting mechanism, but Microsoft seems to be reluctant to give any comment on that matter.

It has been reported by PandaLabs, Panda Security’s laboratory for detecting and analyzing malware, that cyber-criminals are now distributing free phishing kits used to commit fraud attacks. Some kits received more than 15,000 hits, which proves those kits to be rather effective and, thus, dangerous. |

Kaspersky Labs has come across a blackmailing virus dubbed Virus.Win32.Gpcode.ak that encodes all user's files with extensions like *.doc, *.txt, *.pdf, *.xls, *.jpg, *.png, *.cpp, *.h and the like by means of a strong RSA encryption algorithm with a 1024-byte-length key. The virus adds a "._CRYPT" signature to the encoded files and places a "!_READ_ME_!.txt" plain text document in the same folder with the following contents:
